The Schembri award was donated by the Schembri family in memory of their 13-year-old daughter Danielle who was diagnosed with cancer during the season. She passed away in 1995 during the winter off season.

This award is presented annually to a U15 house league player who shows perseverance, the ability to overcome obstacles, and dedication to not only her team, but to the game itself.

The winning player receives her name engraved on the trophy, her own plaque and a free registration to be used the following house league playing season.
